It says I owe $ 523, but last year, with the same job, no changes in my tax withholding form or wages, I received a refund for over $ 200. I haven’t authorized it yet, does anybody know where I could have filled in wrong to make it show such a big change?

Go back and double check everything. If your result still doesnt change, then speak to a professional.

Also, try to think of anything that makes this year different. Are you filing together with a spouse? Did their job change?

Complete Liberty (3/10) The Demise of the State and the Rise of Voluntary America | by Wes Bertrand

voluntary taxation:

A dangerous myth perpetuates our political plight in America-the belief that we are free. In fact, scores of unjust laws violate our individual rights daily. We are taxed, regulated, and forced to fund governmentally monopolized services, and if we attempt to defend ourselves from any of these infringements, we are fined, arrested, punished, or even destroyed. We are no longer subjects to the King, but are we veritable slaves to the State? Most of us are afraid to answer this question, because it’s easier to conform and pretend that the myth of our freedom is true. But living in fear and being obedient aren’t the essence of the American spirit-embracing liberty is. Complete Liberty explains not only the sundry ills of statism, but also why political freedom is so important-and how we, as Americans, can achieve it. Read the book ‘Complete Liberty’ online: freekeene.com Wes Bertrand resides in San Diego, CA, where he completed an MA degree in counseling psychology at United States International University. He received a BBA in management and a BS in psychology from Idaho State University in the early and mid nineties. During his nonacademic time, he worked in the mining, construction, and demolition trades. His main professional focus is on education and psychology. completeliberty.com http
